During the first lesson, we'll create a dialogue in order to to evaluate your level of Grammar, Pronunciation and Vocabulary.
To start with:
1) What is your name?
2) How old are you?
3) Where were you born?
4) What can you tell me about the place where you grew up?
5) What is your current occupation?
To find out interests in common (to speak about during the Conversational English course):
1) What kind of music do you like?
2) Who are your favourite singers?
3) What kind of movies (films) do you like?
4) Name your favourite movies.
5) What kind of books do you like?
6) Which book in English would you like to read and to speak about?
7) Please, tell me about any other interests and hobbies you may have (just a short description).
To speak about the reasons and goals of an English course for you:
1) Why do you want to improve your English level?
2) Where did you learn the English language?
3) How much time will you be able to dedicate to your English course?
4) What kind of new words would you like to learn?
5) Where would you like to go to practise your English, once improved?
After the first lesson we'll decide together which of the following methods you'll prefer to follow with me (or we'll create a "learning/teaching mix"):
1) Reading a book in English:
- New words;
- Basic grammar;
- Exercises to practise the new words;
- Conversation about the main topics of the book.
2) Conversation based on the participant's interests and hobbies.
3) Your Zodiac Sign: let’s speak about the main characteristics and how you feel about them.
4) Writing, every week, the most interesting events of the week and speak about them together during the course.
5) Speak about WORK and PRIVATE LIFE.
6) Speak about the most beautiful moments of your childhood/adult life/trips, etc.
7) Creating Role Plays:
- In a restaurant: 1 participant is the waiter, 2 the Customer
- At the hotel: 1 participant is the Receptionist, 2 the Customer
- In the airport: Check-In, Passport Control, etc.
- Any other situation the participants are interested in.
8) Other ideas: based on the participant’s needs and wishes.
