My name is Mirko Sperlonga. I was born in Italy, precisely in Terracina where I currently live and study self-taught photography. I am incredibly lucky to live in a wonderful place, dominated by the charm of Italian biodiversity. Right here, where Roman art emerges everywhere, the magical encounter between the blue of the sea and the immense green of the southern Apennine chain takes place. The unexpected loss of my grandfather (pillar of my life) gave me the courage to pursue my dream. Reconciling myself with my family, with my passion, dedicating myself from 21 May 2018 to the study and to the most beautiful and fascinating profession that hesitates, the photographer. Portrait photography and reportage are the genres I love, they make me free and in addition they let me cross people's souls, which has always been very difficult during my life, due to my shyness. I live my photographic reality with the dream of traveling, discovering different worlds and cultures to sensitize the new generations to preserve environments, fight climate change, fight poverty in the world, through a more sensitive and politically open, inclusive and at the same multicultural idea. time that breaks down discrimination and prejudice, with the awareness of living today in a state of great change, creators of messages that go beyond photography alone, coming to unite and reach as many people as possible.
