Freelance translating from English to Italian, both general texts and literatures. Graduated (MA hons) in International Relations (earned between Rome Tre university and the Complutense University in Madrid) with an international career spanning from PR to fashion retail management and charities. I have been mostly working in English speaking companies or organisations (recently COS, Royal Trinity Hospice, Reiss) in London, Doha, Rome, Milan and Paris. Able to understand the subtleties of the different languages thanks to my ongoing studies of linguistics (recently concluded a course by the Leiden University & Meertens Instituut covering the basic of linguistics), languages and translation tecniques. Being a volunteer for TED Talk translators and Coursera has allowed me to learn how to properly translate subtitles (using Amara and Smartling as tool) and, furthermore, learning how to synch the subtitles to the video.
